Kitting & Assembly

Build kits, sets and assembled packs from component stock.

A packed parcel with a shipping label applied

Overview

Kitting and assembly turns components into the product the customer ordered. Sets are built to a bill of materials, checked, and either stored as a finished SKU or packed straight into an order.

It is a better answer than hoping a busy pick will always remember every insert.

Benefits

  • Repeatable sets
  • Components stay visible until they are used
  • Less error than kitting during the pick

How it works

  1. 01

    Write the contents

Each kit has a list of components and the quantities required.

  2. 02

    Build and check

Kits are assembled and checked against that list.

  3. 03

    Store or ship

Finished kits are put away as a SKU or added to the day’s orders.

Who it’s for

  • Gift sets
  • Subscription contents
  • Products sold as bundles
